miBooks Accounting FAQs

There are many tips and tricks you can use to make your miBooks accounting even easier, here is a short collection of a few things to get you started:

• If your company is VAT registered (this is applicable to any product level tax), when capturing, you can insert the full VAT/TAX included amount in either the Unit Price or Full Price field, and then add an _ after the number – ie “570_” (without the “) will change the amount to 500.00 (if you have VAT selected in the “Tax Rate” field – or the TAX applicable as per the selection).

Administration users can allocate a chosen password for any user, but for Security reasons, general users are not able to change their own passwords.  Instead, to prevent users from using general passwords that unauthorized personnel might be able to guess, the system provides secure passwords created randomly.  If you forget your password, you can have the system email you a new one.

Every company has a unique passphrase for security purposes.  Your company would have been supplied a Passphrase when they signed up.
